I put several coins and rings in my yard and tested the detector on each item several times to get the feel and to listen to the tones of the detector. The test went very well. Distance from the coil to the coins and rings was really good. I tested out the iron discrimination on a horseshoe that I found several years ago and the test went well. The detector is lightweight, and looks cool as hell! The real test comes in the field, but as well as the tests went in the yard, I don’t expect any problems.

I bought this metal detector before our family vacation last summer, hoping to add a bit of adventure to our beach days. It was incredible. Not only did it perform excellently in the wet sand (where other models often struggle), but my kids also had a blast finding old coins and small trinkets washed ashore. It's easy to clean and maintain, too, which is a bonus after sandy, salty beach hunts.
